Where am I?

Uganda is a small landlocked country in East Africa with a population of 32 million (very approximate and growing daily). I am working in the rural villages of Bujagali and Kyabirwa which are side by side in the eastern part of the country about 90 kms east of the capital of Kampala and 130 kms from the airport at Entebbe. The closest town is Jinja which is one of Uganda's largest urban centres and is on the shores of Lake Victoria. The world's longest river, the Nile, which begins its 6,500 km journey to the Mediterranean Sea is on the western side of Jinja. The thundering Bujagali Falls (and the villages of Bujagali and Kyabirwa) are about 10 kms down the river. The falls got their name from an African spirit, Bujagali, said to occasionally float on a piece of bark cloth down the river. Bujagali Falls is the beginning point for whitewater rafting on the Nile and brings kayakers, rafters and adventurers from all over the world.
